DAAIBOOI

One of the beaches you absolutely must visit is  Daaibooi.  Daaibooi is a beloved destination among the locals, renowned for its unspoiled surroundings and intimate ambiance. Unlike other beaches, it operates without set opening hours, and you have the option to rent sun loungers. The crystal-clear waters teem with marine life, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling. With a touch of luck, you might even catch sight of turtles

For a reasonable price, you can grab some delicious food and drinks at the on-site snack bar. Feeling like having a BBQ? You’ll find a low wall on this beach, and behind it, you’re welcome to barbecue. Sundays are particularly popular here, as local families cather for a deliantful beachside barbecue experience.

PORTOMARI

Looking for the ultimate relaxation day? Then head over to Playa Porto Mari! At the bay of Playa Porto Mari, you’ll find a wide white beach with crystal-clear blue waters. Along the edges, you’ll spot plenty of fish, making it a fantastic spot for snorkeling. The gradual depth of the water makes it perfect for families with children.

Feeling like a drink and a bite to eat? This beach has a restaurant where you can indulge in delicious treats all day long. The service is exceptionally friendly, and you can relax and lounge in style. You can even treat yourself to a massage on this beach – how relaxing is that! Furthermore, there’s a dive school available and a shop selling beach accessories.

PLAYA LARGO

Playa Largu is one of the four hidden gems of San Juan. As the name might suggest, Playa Largu is a large and expansive beach. To reach the beach, you’ll need to pass through a barrier. Continue driving until you arrive at the San Juan estate. Someone will approach you, and you’ll need to pay 10 NAF per car as an entrance fee. Afterward, you can proceed to all the beaches within this estate, including Playa Largu. Follow the signs to navigate your way.

Playa Largu is situated along the bay of Playa Largu. The beach consists of sand, petrified coral, and rocky formations. The ocean in front of Playa Largu is teeming with marine life, and there’s a good chance you’ll spot sea turtles, as they are frequently found here! Don’t forget to bring water shoes for comfortable entry and exit from the sea.

SANTA CRUZ

Playa Santa Cruz is one of the largest beaches in Curaçao, adorned with various picnic tables and palapas. It’s a tranquil beach, but on Sundays, locals gather here in large groups for a lively barbecue, creating a convivial atmosphere. The beach is open 24 hours a day.

On the left side of the beach, you can visit  Captain Goodlife for a meal or a refreshing cold drink. You can also book a boat trip here to the Blue Room, a stunningly illuminated underwater cave for snorkeling. Please note that snorkeling gear is not available for rent, so you’ll need to bring your own.

LAGUN

Playa Lagun is a small, idyllic beach nestled among towering cliffs, situated in a secluded cove. If you’re looking for a day of relaxation, it’s definitely worth a visit. The beach is monitored by a guard and is open 24 hours a day. Here, you can enjoy excellent snorkeling, and with a bit of luck, you might spot a turtle underwater. Additionally, various massages are offered for your relaxation.

Next to the beach, there’s a restaurant where you can savor some food and drinks. You can reach the restaurant by ascending the cliffside staircase, where you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the bay and may even encounter some iguanas. There is a restroom facility on the beach, available for use on Sundays.

JEREMI

Playa Jeremi is a somewhat lesser-known beach but certainly no less beautiful! This beach is relatively secluded, which is why many tourists have yet to discover it.

As you approach, you’ll have a wide view of the sea, and you can access the tranquil beach via a small staircase. Here, you can rent a parasol and sun loungers. Entrance to the beach is free. There are no additional facilities at this beach, so it’s a good idea to bring your own cooler with snacks and drinks.

Snorkeling is enjoyable here, especially along the cliffs.

KLEINE KNIP

In addition to Grote Knip, you also have Kleine Knip. This beach, much like its “big brother,” is highly cherished by the local population. Rent a sun lounger on the fine white sand and take a dip in the stunning, crystal-clear sea. With your receipt, you can also use the sun loungers and parasols at Grote Knip. To enjoy excellent snorkeling, simply follow the coastline to spot beautiful fish and coral.

Occasionally, a food truck is present, but it’s convenient to bring your own food and drinks.

GROTE KNIP

Among the local population, Grote Knip is an incredibly popular beach because it’s one of the most beautiful and iconic beaches in Curaçao. Here, you often see locals enjoying a barbecue with their family or friends. You can delight in swimming in the crystal-clear blue sea or relax on one of the sun loungers for sunbathing. For the adventurous souls, you can even leap into the water from the rocks. Snorkeling opportunities abound near the rocks on both sides of the beach.

There’s a snack bar available where you can grab fries, snacks, or a refreshing cold drink. Grote Knip boasts a spacious parking lot where you can park your car for free, and there’s also a bus station nearby.

KALKI

Playa Kalki is one of the westernmost beaches in Curaçao, and it’s definitely worth the drive. While the beach itself is relatively small, its delightful white sand will give you a tropical sensation.

Did you know that Playa Kalki is an excellent spot for snorkeling? Thanks to the crystal-clear waters, you can admire the beautiful underwater world.

Above the beach, there’s a charming, colorful eatery where you can have lunch, and you’ll also find a resort overlooking the beach where you can enjoy a cocktail.
